Hi everyone, this is Dr. Jamie Baines, and I’m excited to kick off the December Challenge 2025! Each day, you have the chance to earn up to four points by logging your activities, and my personal goal is typically two or three points. Remember, it’s crucial to log your activities daily, as that’s the hardest part of the challenge. I’ve shared a spreadsheet where you can track your progress, and if you have any questions, feel free to reach out via email. Let’s make this a fun and engaging month together!
MID DECEMBER UPDATE!!!
Congrats everyone! We have full continued participation in the December Challenge!
As we sprint toward the holidays, it gets tough to make time for yourself.
Every day is a fresh start to give yourself a gift of movement, exercise, or your choice! The hardest part is remembering to record it.
Any interesting insight or stories you want to share?!
December Challenge Completion -- Congrats to all 17 people who participated, and all 10 people who completed AND Documented more than 2/3rds of the challenge. And I am sure many people continued to work at their goals... but just didn't document them in the spreadsheet. As I said before, the hardest part for me was then remembering to actually chart the info! But that's why I am not an accountant, and you may be one! There were some great stories and efforts! Glein will add a $5 or $10 credit to your account for your efforts to prioritize yourself! Congrats to some high scorers! LL, JoyfulLM, No Days off (mostly), Made in Mich, Bri, OK, Diamond in the rough!, Zenfloss, MIK and Bird! WOA... and LL had a perfect 100 Score!
Are you a spreadsheet person? Keep it going! Just make a copy of the spreadsheet, rename it, and personalize it for you. Or keep using ours... When creating the 2025 sheet I saw someone kept going for MANY months after. Impressive!
What was your lesson learned?
What was a humorous moment?
What will you add into your routine after this?
I'll go first.
1. My points weren't that high ... But something is better than nothing. Look at all these badge days I got on Strava! Screenshot below... (looks great when paired with november, which I will choose to leave out)
2. My kids physically pump my legs to get me through the end of the Peloton ride. Any way you get there!
3. I am trying to piggy back this into a simple daily routine of MY essentials. Taking my pills, flossing, a few small daily core exercises, and one sun salutation to breathe, and 3 days per week of Peloton. Even 10 minute of Peloton is Okay!
